Whenever I get asked to compile music lists I always feel under pressure to keep it strictly Hip Hop, but the reality is I listen to less Hip Hop these days as I spend so long making it. The beauty of sampling is in the diversity of places that you hunt for samples which in turn educates you as you dig and leads you to music that you’d never hear otherwise.
These are a few of the tunes I’ve been playing this week.
