New music // Chalk drops second LP Growth

A triumphant return for the Manchester MC and producer, who recently upped sticks and made the move to Thailand, with more witty tales of self reflection. His first album One For Being Me was ace, and years in the making – you can read an interview about it here at Now Then (see page 34).

Growth documents changes in his life over gloriously laid back jazz and soul grooves. Guest spots come from Manchester fam: a gorgeous sung hook on Sound Healing from Yemi Bolatiwa, guest raps from AGM of local legends Herrotics and scratches and beatboxing from Omas and Jam respectively of The Natural Curriculum crew (TNC beatmaker Aver also oversees production with Chalk).
