Dubstep don Mala got creative with Gilles Peterson and his Brownswood label when the released the ‘Mala in Cuba‘ album late 2012. Detroit’s finest Theo Parrish has since taken this and given it a warm, deep, lush makeover. Stretching the track out to nearly 8 mins from the original 3.50. The stripped back vocals are underpinned with a gentle throb of percussion and atmospheric chords that add emphasis to the vocal, the old adage is less is more seems to be prevalent here, the space does enhance the journey.
