First heard of this through Matt Halsall who played with Nitin last year in Europe.. sounds extremely interesting and nice to see a Manchester venue striving forth such creativity… Also check the launch party

Aftershock is unique musical collaboration between an internationally assembled group of rising new artists from Manchester, Genova and Marseille.

They will be working intensively for for 10 days at Band on the Wall alongside acclaimed musician, composer and producer Nitin Sawhney to create an incredible new one-off performance at Band on the Wall.

Expect the unexpected as soul and R&B meet experimental electronica and French hip-hop blends with folk and jazz. Nitin and Aftershock’s international array of talent will create and extraordinary musical event to be seen and heard once and once only.

The showcase will begin at 9pm.

Tickets are priced at £12 and are available from www.bandonthewall.org and our box office, open 5pm-10pm Mon-Thurs and 21pm-12am Fri/Sat.

    We’ve given all of the musicians handheld digital video cameras, so you can get a real sense of what it’s like to be part of Aftershock, as well as experience some of the music as it’s being written – and get to know all the musicians along the way.
