Nadeem Din-Gabisi – Enter Claim
Super fresh new one from award-winning lyricist, visual artist and filmmaker Nadeem Din-Gabisi – the single comes with the announcement of debut long player OFFSHORE, coming 1 August on Moshi Moshi Records.

The single features Angel Seka, Divine Earth and Tamar Osborn on sax and flute. Nadeem explains the ideas behind the track:
“Enter Claim emerged from another song of mine, called Second Exit. Second Exit itself is derived from a song of mine called Exit so Enter Claim is the 3rd part in a trilogy of sorts. Beni Giles had looped a section of Second Exit and sent it to me and I began to write to it. I then began to write about the myriad of frustrations, roadblocks, perpetual hardships Black and Brown people face trying to survive in the world. The verses speak to a defiance in face of that hardship, the multiple ways Black and Brown people create pathways to thrive and survive. The song also references Exit and Second Exit, lyrically and sonically, speaking of the literal and metaphorical escape and survival routes for Black people in the west and elsewhere. The chorus written in Krio (language most widely spoken in Sierra Leone), is a clarion call for people to realise that life is finite and one should do their best to shine their light, using what skills and resources they have to produce the greatest good.”
