Dan Lish is one of my favourite artists out there (his Block Party print hangs above my decks at home) so it was a pleasant surprise to see his art adorning the album cover of one of my favourite musical artists.
Fresh from his second retreat with some more of the world’s best producers, Terrel Wallace, the Tall Black Guy in question, has taken the theme of journeying as inspiration for his second full length work. ‘This album is all about taking a journey. As simple as that. Be it physical, emotional or spiritual. It’s asking and answering personal questions from myself within some of the tracks and also touching on social issues i.e. racism, inequality and privilege…that have been at the forefront of my mind over last three years.’
