Preview: Micröclimate

Previously known to you and I as Jneiro Jarel (behind Three Piece Puzzle, Shape Of Broad Minds and JJ Doom to name only three choice works), Jarel Gilyard is Micröclimate. It’s a rebirth to be sure, the sound of this project very much steeped in synthpop over hip hop. As always with Jarel, classifying is neither nor there: he’s got stories to tell, and these three songs point to a much deeper one to come when the album is done. Imagine N.E.R.D and Dam Funk at their spaciest for a clue as to what to expect.
