Shouts to the Meltdown Show’s Chris Crates, who’s brightened up my morning by pointing me towards this video from 13 year old (at the time) Brooklynite CeddyJay. Enjoy, and check out more of his stuff below.
Here he is back in 2011 at a Pharoahe Monch release party…
Here’s his Soundcloud…
Not every 14 year old can boast that they’ve been rapping since they were four, and mean it, yet that’s exactly who you’ll meet when you meet Ceddyjay.
By the time he was 11, Ceddyjay had already performed in front of thousands of people throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, and shared the stage with some of rap’s elite at Hot 97 events, outdoor concerts throughout Brooklyn and at rap battles sponsored by the major labels through Harlem and Brooklyn.
Keep your ears to the ground and your eyes online and you’ll soon know why Ceddyjay, his lyrical prowess and the music he makes, has so many people in the music industry buzzing behind the scene wondering just how far this kid can go. If you ask Ceddy, he’ll say, “all the way, no doubt.”
