A calmly beautiful collection of five songs on this EP from Manchester-based Macharia – Tega Sikio means ‘listen’ in Swahili, and there are many layers and themes to unwrap over repeated listens.

Macharia’s lush vocals take centre stage and a variety of emotive instrumentation brings her personalised songwriting to life.

Moto stands out for me with its use of percussion and lyrics longing for more time.
