Although London born, Yemi’s become one of Manchester’s most prominent performers – a soulful voice across genres as a function singer and a singer/songwriter in her own right.

Highlighting artists in favour is always the toughest thing so I’ve chosen a specific amount of time to reflect on. Here are 10 songs that have been getting me through lockdown 2.0 one or two old faves and a few that I have fallen in love with during this time.

The beauty of lockdown has been the time to listen to music and albums in full like I never have before, purchasing music from people I locally admire, and I aim to keep this up when things get back to being busy again…eventually. Until then, my ears are more open than ever…
