The Sorcerers

This one is pretty special, and comes highly recommended from me! The Sorcerers are a supergroup comprised of members from Leeds’ legendary jazz and world scene and form the backbone of the ATA Records house band. They last appeared on the Introduction to ATA Records LP last year, going on to record this body of work.

These guys were initially inspired by Mulatu Astatke, but have embraced horror and library elements to produce a creepily soulful, Ethio-descended vibe which definitely comes across as a soundtrack to an as yet unmade movie of the same name.
