There’s plenty to savour at this year’s Manchester Jazz Festival, which runs from 31 July – 9 August. A quick scan of proceedings reveals Bugalu Foundation, Son Yambu with DJ Lubi, John Ellis Trio, New York Brass Band, Booker T Jones, Lonnie Liston Smith, Spilt Milk and London Afrobeat Collective as just a few I’m keen to check out myself.
