Strange Breaks & Mr Thing 3
Release: 19 May 2014
2LP, 2CD (mixed and unmixed), digi
This one has been a fair few years in the making. Compilations like this can take a while when you have you have to track down who owns the copyright to the music, but that’s the price you pay when someone like Mr Thing digs the deepest they can.
Finally released this week on BBE Records (the limited edition preview 45 having already sold out), it tops off a good couple of months for Thing which also saw the release of the Nothing Leaves the House double 7″ on First Word Records for Record Store Day, which had Kidkanevil, Eric Lau and Tall Black Guy sampling records from his private collection.
The vinyl is four sides, and if you get the CD there’s a mixed version of the tracks too.
Order from BBE (more previews here)
