Video: TANYA AUCLAIR // Origami (Live)

Portraits by Oddisee

Beautiful video to accompany the new EP by TANYA AUCLAIR, which you can preview below. Check Origami on the latest Groovement podcast here, featuring lots of new music and interviews with Machinedrum and Manchester rapper Dayse of the TNC.

Tanya: I was staring at this piece of paper and suddenly I wondered what it’d be like for us to switch places. For me to be the blank page, and all the possible destinies in the simplest folds. Every piece of origami starts with a one fold, I liked that idea and the simplicity of it. And if you think about it for people, that we can fold and unfold in so many directions and ways.

Download: TREK LIFE // Everything Changed Nothing

Produced by (hands-down one of Groovement’s favourite producers) ODDISEE and now available to download for free from Mello Music Group, to celebrate the upcoming release of his new work.

Trek is currently preparing his summer offering “Wouldn’t Change Nothing” – a 12 track remix project featuring the West Coast’s J. Bizness (producer on Little Brother, Ras Kass, Canibus projects), Detroit’s MarvWon, up and coming producer Audible Doctor (produced Battle Cry for Joel Ortiz), DC rookie legend Nick Tha 1Da who produced songs for the 9/11 documentary Loose Change and Finale’s “Jungle Music”, and Philly’s Has-Lo.

Download: DIAMOND DISTRICT // In The Ruff Instrumentals

Great news from Mello Music Group as they make the instrumentals of DIAMOND DISTRICT’s 2009 In The Ruff LP a free download – for one week only, though! Diamond District comprises ODDISEE on production, with y.U and X.O. on the emcee tip.
