Press release follows:
In an era in which algorithms dictate culture, BYAMM delivers their most
conceptually astute and musically compelling release yet. The four-track EP,
“If AI Ruled The World”, is a vibrant musical journey that screams retro and
blends elements of Soul, Funk, Disco and Latin into a collection of
unforgettable songs. Welcome to BYAMM’s world of retro-futuristic funk.
The EP’s title track taps directly into every person’s doubt about a future
world dominated by machines. Artificial Intelligence is advancing rapidly,
bringing with it not only new exciting features but also profound uncertainty
for creatives and the world.
As music is created without musicians and
digital artists amass millions of followers through plagiarism creep, the very
worth of art is now being questioned. If music can be obtained for next to
nothing, then the quality of the industry’s output will inevitably reflect this.
The EP’s theme is about more than just music—it’s a lament to the
destruction of mankind’s creative soul by the unbridled and cavalier attack of
artificial intelligence.
