Preview: SOUNDTRACK // For Colored Girls

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf debuted on Broadway in 1974 and has been made into a film by Tyler Perry, one of the producers of Precious. The film was released in the UK in December and didn’t fare brilliantly in reviews, but this is the first I’ve head of the soundtrack.

Props to KING BRITT for the heads up, who produces Zaki Ibrahim on the soundtrack. Other Groovement faves include Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Janelle Monae, Gladys Night and Nina Simone.
