Well, Jazanova killed it last night in Manchester, plus got a good half hour interview with them and Paul Randolph so check that soon…
Thursday 15th Octobersees one of the hardest working blokes and all round good guy DJ Vadim hit the Jazz Cafe – it’s a rare chance to catch the FULL LIVE BAND so should be a night of blissful vibes given the range of styles of this man’s past work.
Get on it and check the Qand A on this very site soon!
Vadim’s also dropping in on Manchester’s Mint Lounge one week later; here’s the facebook write up..
Taste The Difference Events has been a long time in the making and has finally come together to launch Its first event (and is setting the standard for what promises to be a great year of real music!)
“If you want to make beautiful music, you must play the black and the white notes together.” ~ Richard M. Nixon
I don’t think there are many musical biographies that start with quotations of Richard M. Nixon but DJ Vadim, the John Coltrane of hip hop isn’t your average around the way producer.
These days producers / DJ’s come a dime a dozen. If you are expecting to hear the same old, the average, the normal, the mundane 12 tracks looping the same soul records for 4 minutes; you may be disappointed. This is different, this is Independent music, it’s from the earth, organic, single estate, nutritious, whole-grain, wholesome: soul music. For DJ Vadim, it’s a journey, and with every album comes new expressions and colours. For those who have just joined the adventure, you couldn’t have joined at a better time. The new album is without doubt the best so far.
His latest work “U Can’t Lurn Imaginashun” features many talented artists including rapper Pugs Atomz, soul singer Sabira Jade & Ste Keyz all of whom will be joining us on this evening.
