NIGHTJAR
Jimi Goodwin of Doves presents his first hip hop long player. Making his beats debut as Coup Diablo on Pan Amsterdam’s second LP, Ha Chu, the beats on Mala Leche inhabit the same stratosphere and feature Guilty Simpson, Sonnyjim, Homeboy Sandman and many more.
Jimi and I did a live Q&A at the homely and familial Wax and Beans record shop in Bury, and this interview is an excerpt from there where we pull some records out and talk The Clash, Pan Am, guests on the album, Andy Votel and more.
JAMIE FINLAY
Eight years since his last released music, Jamie Finlay returns with a spiritually epic piece of work recorded with an amazing line up. Vocals on the album are led by Ellen Beth Abdi (A Certain Ration), Kemani Anderson (Secret Night Gang).
Jamie and I talk about the personal themes of the album and dive intro three tracks.
