Alexander O’Neal’s Manchester collab for new single Love Finds A Way

Soul legend Alexander O’Neal moved to Manchester a good few years ago, and has worked with Alexander and JV Johnston and their band Mamma Freedom since at least then. New single Love Finds A Way is gorgeously throwback, the band dripping classic sounds all over O’Neal’s timeless vocal. It compares fantastically well to those doing retro soul best – the Daptone, Big Crown and associated crews (in my humble opinion, of course) – and bodes very well for his new album out in 2024, Testament.
