On Wax // Atlantis Jazz Ensemble: Oceanic Suite
Founded by two members of the blazing Soul Jazz Orchestra (saxophonist Zakari Frantz and pianist Pierre Chrétien), the Atlantis Jazz Ensemble was founded to ‘explore new directions in modal, spiritual and esoteric jazz music’ – the resulting album is out now, a collection of seven sea related tracks. It’s deep, soulful and an album which lets you escape the rush and lose yourself.
