LWR’s popularity was so influential Capital Radio (London) tried to buy it from him. His station helped to popularise Black Music in London. LWR was also a very early adopter of Hip Hop Culture\, giving Derek B (RIP)\, Tim Westwood\, and Richie Rich their starts in radio broadcasting. His story is incredible and has never been told in Hip Hop circles.
