DESCRIPTION:Pama International’s deep connection with Trojan Records began in 2006 when they became the first new band to sign with the iconic reggae label in 30 years. Their album ‘Trojan Sessions’ featured songs by Sean Flowerdew\, performed by reggae legends like Derrick Morgan and Dawn Penn. In 2016\, they launched Trojan Records’ club night in London\, followed by a successful 2018 UK tour that ended with sold-out shows at the O2 Academy Islington. In spring 2025\, Pama International will present The Trojan Songbook Part 2\, featuring Trojan hits and new material from their album ‘Return of the Unity Rockers’. Attendees will receive an exclusive collector’s Trojan songbook. \n\n\n\nSince 2001\, Pama International has released seventeen albums and recorded five BBC sessions\, earning praise from DJs like David Rodigan and Steve Lamacq. They’ve collaborated with artists such as Ken Boothe\, and their lineup includes members from The Specials and Madness. Sean Flowerdew’s music has featured in films like ‘Lock\, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’. The band has a strong live following\, performing with The Specials and Jimmy Cliff\, and at festivals like Glastonbury. DESCRIPTION:RUFF TRADE are an explosion of Roots\, Rock\, Reggae born in 2016 on the streets of Manchester\, UK. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFronted by Mancunian brothers Ryan & Chris RUFF TRADE quickly gained local popularity and they soon hit the studio recording their debut E.P Urban Jungle in 2017\, which was mastered at Abbey Road Studios\, London. \n\n\n\nSince 2017 RUFF TRADE have gigged extensively across the UK performing at many live music venues & festivals hitting the main stages at renown reggae venues including Hootananny Brixton\, One Love Festival\, Beat-Herder\, Party In The Pines & Positive Vibration to name a few.  \n\n\n\nRUFF TRADE have also backed legendary reggae artists such as Prince Hammer\, Dennis Bovell & Keith Poppin among others on festivals and mini tours across the UK all of whom have praised the band highly and recognise RUFF TRADE as an exciting fresh emerging British Reggae talent.  \n\n\n\nOn May 1st 2022 RUFF TRADE were scouted by Terence F Clark\, drummer for international country artist Keith Urban\, explaining to Urban that RUFF TRADE are quote “The Real Deal”. Keith Urban came to MCR city centre to watch the band busk and invited RUFF TRADE to perform during his set on the Manchester leg of his sell out tour “The Speed Of Now Tour 2022”.  \n\n\n\nTwo days later saw RUFF TRADE perform to a sell out Manchester O2 Apollo audience playing 2 tracks\, finishing off with a cover of UB40 classic “Red Red Wine” which Keith Urban joined the band on backing vocals. \n\n\n\nOctober 2022 welcomed the highly anticipated release of RUFF TRADE’s debut album “Mancunian Way”. Now with 14 full length albums\, 7 instrumental dub albums\, and 4 live albums they have the highest record sales in reggae music after Bob Marley. Their album ‘Red’ was voted #23 for Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Albums of the 1980′s. Since winning the first ever reggae grammy\, they have gone on to receive a further 5 nominations. \n\n\n\nOriginating from Kingston Jamaica’s Waterhouse district in the early 60’s Duckie Simpson learnt to sing with the likes of Winston “Pipe” Matthews and Lloyd “Bread” McDonald of Wailing Souls and Bob Marley.
