As the world slowly roasts its way to crispy, producer Imperial and label Illect Recordings have a summer chill joint ready to go in the form of Transit, the final single (following Yellow Yachts and Hot Sauce) to drop ahead of new album Layers.
Transit is a hazy, jazzy joint that builds up into elevating synth stabs, conjuring up a story rather than rehashing a loop. The single isn’t out until tomorrow, but Groovement has secured an exclusive early stream below.
Imperial shares, “Transit is the final single from my debut instrumental project, Layers. It’s a chilled hip hop head nodder perfect for an evening under the stars letting your mind take you on a journey to far off lands.”
