I was absolutely gutted to be out of the city when De La Soul hit Manchester Academy last Friday, but reports were good all ’round! Luckily for me, one third of the crew is back in town in June. He tore up the Roadhouse with Ali Shaheed Muhammad when More Bounce brought them over last year, spinning a wide range of funk, soul, disco and hip hop.
