First Word Records have freshly dropped the new album from absolute don Jon Phonics. Head of the Astral Black imprint and club night, together with this crew Phonics is representative of a real underground bass sound directly derived from and freshly reppin’ UK hip hop.

Letters To Home is 16 diverse bangers of varying moods, but all with a solid layer of consistent quality throughout. Instrumental in the best sense of the word for most of the album, enclosed within are guest vocals from Dirty Dike of High Focus Records, Lee Scott of the immense Blah Records, M9 and Dressin’ Red.
