Seu Jorge – Life on Mars?

Because you can never have enough Seu Jorge.
Lady Wray – Do It Again

From the ashes of Truth and Soul Records rises Brooklyn’s Big Crown Records. Having already treated us to the tropical sounds (via Hamburg) of the excellent Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, the jaw dropping vocals of Lady Wray. Buy the 45 here.

Om Unit – Friend Of Day

Made around the time of Lightworks on All City Records, this 3 track EP is available on Idle Hands.
Plantlife feat. Dena Deadly – Your Love

From Ubiquity Records’ Music Is My Art.
Children Of Zeus – Still Standing

The show stopping debut single from Manchester duo Tyler Daley and Konny Kon, here sped up a little too much, sorry! Check the video. BUY IT.

Cul de Sac – Know We Now

Another special debut Manchester single. These guys are performing this live in Whitworth park today with an orchestra! Buy the Stems EP here.

Thundercat – Them Changes

One of the best tracks of last year. I’m hoping he’s playing with Kamasi Washington on Tuesday in Manchester, fingers crossed I can get this record signed!
Henri-Pierre Noel – Will Come A Day

Haitian born, moving to Canada, doing wonderful things with a piano. Buy One More Step from Wah Wah 45s.

James Blake – Timeless

My fave from the new album The Colour In Anything, illustrated by Quentin Blake.
Kadhja Bonet – Latenight Munchies

I mispronouced her name as Kad-ja on the podcast, apologies! It’s Kad-ya. Check out her music on Bandcamp, and thanks to Matthew Halsall for putting me on to her stuff, it’s lovely and I’m looking forward to more.
Fulgeance – Home

The return of Fulgeance, from his October-coming album Homecooking on Cascades Records. Grab the digital single here.

Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura Band, Los Aldeanos & Danay Suárez – Check La Rima

Just go and check the whole Havana Cultura catalogue on Bandcamp right now.
Arthur Verocai – Seriado

A legendary album sees a reissue on the illustrious Mr Bongo label.

BADBADNOTGOOD – Lavender feat. Kaytranada

A cracking team-up, dropping 29 July on Tru Thoughts: keep an eye on his artist page here for buy links.
