I’m pretty sure that the first time Hot 8 played Manchester it was at Night and Day for one of those Jack Daniels nights. How the hell everyone fit in I will never know. My one-sided 12″ of Sexual Healing is well and truly worn down now, but this lot are much more than a one song wonder. ‘The Life and Times of…’ album dropped on Tru Thoughts at the end of 2012, including their ridiculous ‘Ghost Town’ version.
